IndiaMART covers 97,000 categories including electronics, fashion & apparel, home and kitchen appliances, industrial supplies and machinery. Prohibited products include prepaid postal items, precious stones and gems, cheques, currency and coins, liquids and semi-liquids, narcotics, firearms and their components, bullion and philatelic items.
Accessibility for Italian Companies
To sell on IndiaMART, Italian companies must register with the Indian GST (Goods & Services Tax) and provide documents such as invoices, utility bills, CIN, GST certificate, and banking/cheque proof. Once registered, companies can create a seller profile. Both free and paid memberships exist, with SMEs receiving a free website. Success on the platform requires a marketing strategy including catalogs, product photos and videos, brochures, and business cards. Products can then be listed with clear descriptions, pricing, and high-quality images. IndiaMART does not charge registration fees or commissions on sales.
