Its mission is to make wholesale trade modern and more flexible by offering retailers favourable payment terms, access to a wide range of products and digital tools for order management. It is considered one of the most dynamic platforms for emerging brands in the lifestyle, home, fashion, beauty and artisanal food sectors.
Key features and services
Faire positions itself as a wholesale platform for independent retailers and emerging or artisanal brands. Brands can create a complete profile including products, wholesale prices, sales conditions and shipping policies. Retailers benefit from flexible terms such as deferred payment up to 60 days, free returns on the first order and access to over 100,000 international brands.
The platform also provides analytical tools to monitor sales performance, order tracking, direct communication between buyers and sellers, and a referral programme (Faire Direct) which enables brands to bring in their own customers without commission fees.
Revenue
The platform had already secured USD 12 billion in funding by 2021 and surpassed USD 1 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV) in 2022.
In 2025 the site recorded an average of 4.2 million monthly visits.
There are more than 700,000 active retailers globally.
Eligible products
Accepted categories include home and décor, beauty and skincare, food and gourmet products, fashion and accessories, pet products and lifestyle goods. Minimum standards of quality are required, along with professional packaging, compliant labelling and timely delivery.
Accessibility for Italian companies
Italian brands can register freely on the platform subject to approval. Registration requires: a VAT number, product catalogue with descriptions in english, professional images, a wholesale price list and clear shipping terms.
Onboarding is streamlined and customer support is also available in Italian. There are no fixed membership fees; commissions are applied only on sales, and brands maintain full control over pricing and terms.
Countries
Faire operates in North America (United States and Canada), Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium and other EU markets.
Commissions
For sellers outside North America:
- 25% commission on the first order from a new customer
- 15% commission on all subsequent repeat orders
Orders placed via Faire Direct (referral link) carry no commission.
Payment systems
Retailers can pay within 60 days of placing an order. Faire acts as an intermediary and guarantees payment to sellers, taking on the risk of non-payment.
Brands can choose when to receive payment:
- the next day with a 3% fee
- after 30 days with no fee
Payments are transferred directly to the bank account provided during registration.
Retailers may also subscribe to a membership called Faire Insider for €19.99 per month, which includes free shipping, early access to collections and priority support (available in selected countries).
Advertising
Faire does not offer a self-service advertising platform. Instead, it promotes selected brands based on performance, new arrivals or seasonal trends.
Brands may be featured in highlighted sections, newsletters, editorial banners and seasonal promotions curated by Faire’s team. Promotional opportunities are free but subject to internal editorial selection.
Logistics
Brands are responsible for shipping their products to retailers. Faire provides prepaid labels and discounted rates through logistics partners. Shipping costs may be included or charged separately. Returns on the first order are free for the retailer and covered by the platform.
The system ensures full order traceability and return management via the portal.
Customer and seller support
Faire offers multilingual support, including Italian, via email, chat and an online help centre. Sellers have access to an advanced dashboard to monitor orders, performance and client history. Faire also provides ongoing training through webinars, guides and personalised support to optimise brand visibility and foster customer loyalty.
