From 18 December 2024, it will be possible to submit applications for support for the development of innovation projects in the agriculture, fisheries, and aquaculture sectors.
The 2023 Budget Law (Art. 1, paragraph 428) established the Agricultural Innovation Fund, aimed at promoting innovation projects to increase productivity in agriculture, fisheries, and aquaculture. The fund supports the adoption of the best available technologies for digital enterprise management, machinery, robotic solutions, sensors, and 4.0 platforms and infrastructures, as well as water-saving measures, reduction of chemical use, and the utilisation of by-products.
€100 million will be available for individual or associated SMEs with the status of agricultural, fishery, or agromechanical enterprises, as well as young entrepreneurs, in the form of attractive non-repayable grants, with rates varying depending on the type of enterprise and investment.
