The European project COASTOUR launches its second call, offering vouchers of up to €9,000 to Italian SMEs in the rural coastal tourism sector. The scheme supports competitiveness and sustainability through training, consultancy, digital transition, and participation in EU events. Deadline: 28 August 2024.
Who can apply for the COASTOUR Voucher Call II
The call targets Italian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the tourism sector, with priority for those located in rural coastal areas:
- Hotels and accommodation facilities
- Campsites, caravan and motorhome parks
- Restaurants, catering and beverage services
- Car rental and leasing
- Sports, entertainment and leisure activities
- Libraries, museums and cultural activities
- Travel agencies and tour operators
- Maritime, coastal and inland passenger transport (*)
- Car rental and leasing (*)
(*) In case of equal scoring, priority will be given to enterprises in rural coastal areas operating in the marked sectors.
Why take part in the COASTOUR project

- Enhancing competitiveness, resilience and sustainability
- Strengthening knowledge and skills on sustainability, aligned with EU frameworks and tools
- Improving efficiency of EU sustainability programmes
- Raising awareness and capacity within the tourism sector for the green and digital transition
Eligible expenses and funded activities
- Costs of certification schemes (EU Ecolabel, EMAS, etc.)
- Training by external experts on energy efficiency, resource use, circular economy, waste and water management, eco-design, green procurement, mobility, social innovation
- Travel expenses for brokerage, matchmaking, pitching and investor events on sustainable and digital tourism
- Expert support for patents, feasibility studies, prototyping, pilots, demonstrations, pitches, FTA documentation and IT systems
- IT equipment for monitoring sustainability impacts (e.g. water meters, smart waste scales, tablets), max. 20% of the total grant
