Ruralis is an Italian startup that digitises the management of short-term rentals in villages and inland areas, supporting property owners with advanced technology. Operating in Digital Property Management, we manage over 150 properties across 35 provinces, welcoming thousands of tourists.

What business need led you to approach Promos Italia, and what opportunities did you want to seize?

Ruralis aims to make short-term rentals in villages more sustainable and efficient, supporting owners with digital management and regulatory compliance. We seek solutions to improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and attract responsible travellers. Collaborating with Promos Italia helped us explore new markets, gain awareness of sustainability certifications, and access funding opportunities to innovate the sector. Additionally, we aim to optimise international promotion and expand our network of eco-friendly tourism partners.

What proposals or services were offered to address your needs, and which did you adopt?

Thanks to Promos Italia and the COASTOUR project, Ruralis integrated sustainable practices into the management of tourist properties. With the support of sustainability experts, we trained our team on energy efficiency, waste management, and eco-friendly suppliers. We also created a Sustainability Guide, providing practical advice to reduce consumption and environmental impact. This strengthened our corporate culture and enhanced the appeal of our properties to responsible travellers. Adopting these strategies not only reduces environmental impact but also provides a competitive advantage, meeting the growing demand for sustainable tourism.

Can you discuss the results achieved with Promos Italia? What benefits has your company gained?

Through Promos Italia and the COASTOUR project, Ruralis has enhanced sustainability in its operations. We trained 16 team members on energy efficiency, waste management, and eco-friendly suppliers. We also developed a Sustainability Guide to support property owners in adopting green practices. This has improved operational efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and made our properties more attractive to responsible travellers. Sustainability has become a strategic value that differentiates us in the tourism market.

Thanks to Promos Italia, we have turned sustainability into a concrete value, enabling us to offer more responsible, innovative, and sustainable tourism.
