Can you briefly tell us about your company and its main activities?
We specialise in the bespoke service The One, which involves creating a tailor-made project for each client: from graphic design to 3D modelling and rendering of the bicycle, and finally the custom production of the frame and certain components made using CNC technology. Additionally, we offer a line of bicycles available on our website with preconfigured colours and models.
How did you learn about DigIT Export’s services?
We discovered the services through Promos Italia’s newsletter. The support of Promos Italia staff was essential—they invited us to the DigIT Export Day, guided us through the various digital services, recommended those best suited to our objectives, and assisted us in implementing them.
What were your main needs or objectives before using DigIT Export’s services?
Our main goal was to increase awareness of our brand and products. We have no physical stores and are only present for display in select shops or bike hotels. Our target audience is very specific: a certain age group with particular aesthetic and cultural sensitivity, from both local and international markets such as the United States and Germany. Since 2014, we have been active online, so it is crucial for us to stay updated on digital development opportunities, promotion strategies, and content production methods.
Which DigIT Export tools or services did you use, and how did they impact your internationalisation strategy?
We participated in several digital export services. The DigIT Export Day was particularly valuable, allowing us to engage with industry experts and other companies, facilitating networking. In our case, we met an entrepreneur in our sector with whom we discussed potential future collaborations.
We explored services including AI-powered buyer persona creation, social discovery, AI strategy, e-commerce advisory, and digital export planning. Starting with AI-assisted buyer persona research, we moved on to launching targeted promotional campaigns.
Identifying a specific local target using AI was particularly useful. While we knew the USA was a key market, the service helped us pinpoint more precise regions for targeted promotion. The same approach was applied to the German market. We launched awareness and promotional campaigns and received guidance on data analysis and early results. This also provided insight into budget ranges—a valuable perspective for SMEs hesitant to invest in digital marketing, showing that even a small budget can yield initial tests.
Finally, we experimented with web content creation using AI tools. Although we have not yet used the generated material, it was an excellent introduction to possibilities we were previously unaware of and may be revisited as AI tools mature.
Is there a specific case you can share related to the use of digital tools thanks to DigIT Export?
Rather than a single case, the work with Promos Italia helped us dispel certain preconceptions about our brand that had arisen from previous supplier feedback. The promotional campaigns allowed us to practically refute some prior judgments and suggestions.
Would you recommend DigIT Export to other SMEs? Why?
Absolutely. Our experience was positive both in terms of the services provided and the dedication of Promos Italia staff. The synergy between our team, internal specialists at Promos Italia, and external consultants implementing digital campaigns was invaluable in ensuring effective support and seamless integration of results across services.
